I am always amazed how fast January goes by! It takes about a month to recover from the holidays and worry about what kind of weather Texas will give us week by week! So far, we have been frozen, and then overwatered and as I am writing this, we are having a beautiful spring-like day! I will take Texas weather over being cold all winter.  I do thank God for the changes in the seasons because we need this rain after such a hot summer.

Speaking of seasons, the Easter season is early this year. Easter will be on March 31st. We have our Easter music ready to go, we just need you!        We would like to add a bit of drama, like in year’s past, so I will be calling on some of you who may not want to sing, but would like to help with scenery, costumes, and as extra people on stage (we like adding children in the drama as well), to let me know how you want to help.

We are combining parts of several past cantatas. We previewed the music this past Wednesday night. Come join us at 7pm on Wednesday nights in the choir room.

One final note: we have scheduled a fundraiser luncheon on Sunday, February 25 to raise funds for new choir chairs! Our old ones have been breaking and we are in need of some upgraded! Two new chairs have already been purchased and we’d love for you preview them! They currently can be seen in the choir room!

More details to come!

Joyfully,

Carol
